About this course
Mastering JCI Hospital Accreditation (8th Edition): Standards, Implementation & Survey Readiness is a comprehensive professional training program developed for healthcare leaders, quality professionals, accreditation teams, and clinical managers responsible for implementing and sustaining Joint Commission International (JCI) standards. Built around the JCI Hospital Accreditation Standards, 8th Edition (effective January 2025), this program goes beyond explaining the standards by teaching participants how to implement measurable elements, build compliance systems, conduct gap analyses, perform patient tracers, validate quality indicators, and prepare hospitals for successful accreditation surveys. Throughout 65 contact hours of lectures and practical workshops, participants will learn to: Interpret all JCI 8th Edition standards and measurable elements. Conduct department and hospital-wide gap analyses. Implement International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG). Develop policies, procedures, and documentation required for compliance. Design KPI dashboards and validate performance indicators. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Build risk registers and quality improvement plans. Conduct patient tracers and system tracers. Prepare hospitals for mock surveys and official JCI accreditation visits. Implement new 8th Edition requirements including Health Care Technology, Artificial Intelligence governance, cybersecurity, workplace violence prevention, diagnostic error reduction, and Global Health Impact standards. The curriculum includes 15 expert-led lectures and 6 practical workshops, using real hospital policies, medical records, audit tools, tracer forms, KPI templates, and implementation projects to ensure participants leave with practical tools that can be immediately applied within their organizations. By the end of the program, participants will possess a complete survey readiness roadmap, implementation toolkit, and the practical competence required to lead JCI accreditation initiatives and sustain continuous quality improvement in healthcare organizations.
